It was quite exciting to wake this morning and to hear that the new healthcare system had passed in the US Congress.
It seems to be watered down, tampered with, but it’s a step in the right direction.
I find it astonishing that in the Great America there are people and parties who would deny basic healthcare to tens of millions, yet would conduct a war that cannot and never will be won. And they fuss about money and Socialism.
America’s real war is with itself. It is racial and religious and economic.
Something is really, really wrong.
This may be a very slow Revolution, but it seems to be under way.
I don’t hide my support for the president, but I am just so pleased to see a politician—any politician—move forward with a positive agenda. I am so tired of the scare tactics, the scandals, and the mudslinging. I already have pretty good health insurance so it remains to be seen how this will affect me—beyond the huge amount of pride I feel right now to be an American!
Good point about American angst over race, religion, and finance, but I am amused at how you phrased it. Americans love slogans that wage war on something, whether it be drugs, poverty or terror. An American war on America makes me grin.

I am with you, Ross.
