This is my niece.
She is auditioning for a choir opportunity at Liberty University. What a beautiful voice! She is overpowering the capabilities of the mike and the sound track is a little out of sync, none of which is her fault, but despite all that, it’s just a really powerful, heartfelt performance.
I am not familiar with the song, but wow.

whoa, it’s like watching an old kung-fu movie….. I got to see her live and I think Ashley is awesome !!
We got to get a better video of Ashley on the YouTubes. This is good. I love the earnest look on her face as she belts out the song (which I learned is “Step Aside” from Tyler Perry’s, What’s Done in the Dark). But I would like to find one that’s a little clearer. I have been hearing about how well she sings, but haven’t heard her actually sing. I guess those voice lessons her Mom paid for really paid off. 🙂
Thanks for posting this Tim. It is kinda like watching an old kung-fu movie but in a mother’s eyes everything is perfect! We’ll have to work on a better production.
By the way, she made it to the 3rd round and we should know within the next 2 weeks if she’s selected.
My fingers are crossed (toes too!). Keep me posted.
