Tim Elhajj to Guest Lecturer @ University of Washington

I’ve been asked to return to Theo Nestor’s memoir class at the UW! I’m so excited.

October 25, University of Washington

I think you have to be part of the class to attend, so I won’t list the building and time.

I studied with Theo a few years ago and have sat down to discuss my book and my journal on her blog.

The last time I visited Theo’s class, I came away so jazzed about memoir. That class was mostly students my age, who all have jobs or families, and everyone is showing up late at night to get their memoir written. It’s a very satisfying, creative space and I look forward to enjoying all that good writer energy.

KidLitCon in Seattle!

I’m attending KidLitCon in Seattle next weekend, Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 17, 2011, at the Hotel Monaco.

I’m not presenting anything, but I’m excited because a lot of good friends and great people are going to be there, including Holly Huckeba, my favorite Kid Lit girl by far. Looks like an interesting line up of events.

If you’re there, please say hi.

Tim Elhajj @ Seattle Book Fest: October 25, 2009

I will be reading and talking on Sunday, October 25th, with Matt Briggs, at a grassroots revival of the Northwest Book Fest

Check out the press release.

We Have a Winner

Huge kudos to my good friend Sarah Morgan for coming up with an excellent tag line for this site, Past imperfect.

I love it. It’s a wonderful play on the verb tense theme in the title and an unabashed nod to past indiscretions. That’s exactly what I was looking for, but everything I came up with sounded like a requiem for a misspent youth. My life is much too good for anything that mournful, but this tag line is smart and funny. Sassy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Sarah Morgan has won my undying devotion!
