There are benefits to cooking the food that go beyond just eating it, I agree. I am just getting the hang of making stuff more complex than a grilled cheese. The kids seem to like it when I cook. It's always nice to see people stretch themselves, I suppose.

Thanks for the congratulations! I'm very pleased I got another story on Brevity and that I got to post on the blog this time.

Good luck with the continued promotion of your book. I still haven't posted my review, but it's still coming, just delayed like everything else.

Back when the boys were young, I made something like that. I called it skillet chili, which involved dead cow instead of dead bird .

I miss cooking. I like the idea that I am cutting up, shaping, and handling that which will become a meal.

Belinda won't eat if I cook, and I'm satisfied with beans, fruit, and (yes!) steamed Brussels sprouts. Oh, yeah: eggs, yogurt, and a bit of cheese.

I've been laying low on NFICTION because I've been doing so much on book PR. I finally found a video of my Prairie Lights reading, and I'm going to get it up on YouTube.

Which busy-ness had me neglecting to congratulate you for your BREVITY piece and the follow up on the BREVITY blog. Two thumbs up!
