I did the same thing — I gave up my domain space with 1and1, and while I couldn’t save garypresley.net, I bought garypresley.com through Google and have my blog redirected there via Google. I know it ain’t professional, I guess, but it’s better for me as a writer rather than a “company.”

Most of the big boy writers have .com domains, so I think you’re in good shape Gary. I think it’s important to have a web presence these days. You do a good job on your site and in writing blogs. I’ve seen you do a few posts over on Dinty Moore’s Brevity blog.
